Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program. The Humane Society of Weld County offers a wide variety of opportunities that are designed to be rewarding, productive and fun! As a non-profit organization our volunteers are vital to the success of our daily operations. We depend on your generous donation of time and talent to provide quality care for our animals.

General Requirements: |

- Our volunteers are asked to make a minimum 6 month commitment
- Attend a Volunteer Orientation, Safety Training and Program-Specific Training
- We ask that you commit to a minimum of two, 2-hour shifts monthly
- You must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult
- Due to the nature of our services children under 10 years of age are not allowed to volunteer at the facility. Please see our information about foster care or other ways to help.
What opportunities are available?
We admit approximately 6,000-7,000 animals annually, and it is vital that we keep things as sanitary as possible. All volunteers are expected to clean in order to maintain a healthy and tidy environment.

How To Get Involved:
The mission of the Humane Society is to promote the humane treatment of animals through care, advocacy and community education. We encourage individuals who support this mission and are willing to complete our training program to apply. Our goal is to place you in the most rewarding volunteer position possible.
