Mobile Adoptions are crucial
to promoting the existence of the shelter and keeping the animal
population at the shelter below full capacity. Because of the dedication
of our volunteers, more adoption opportunities happen outside of
the shelter, resulting in more animals finding homes.
As an outcome of strong, supporting relationships, the Humane Society
has a large network of small and large businesses that welcome mobile
adoptions and Humane Society animals. Some of our business friends
include The Greeley Mall, PetSmart, Petco &
J & T Country Feeds.
Being a mobile adoption volunteer requires two to fours of your
time on a Saturday You and the Volunteer Coordinator
will arrange your schedule. There is no set minimum on how many
times you should attend a mobile adoption, but, ideally, we would
like a once a month commitment.
Each volunteer at the adoption site will handle one animal. This
entails walking the dog, talking to the public about the shelter,
showing off the adoptable animal and being a proud representative
of the Humane Society. At each site a Mobile Adoption Coordinator
is present to handle questions or concerns from volunteers.
If interested in becoming a mobile adoption volunteer, consider
visiting an upcoming mobile adoption.
Mobile Adoption Volunteers would be glad to talk to you in depth
about the responsibilities, as well as on some of their personal
experiences.
You are also welcome to contact the Volunteer Coordinator (970-506-9550
ext. 26) about mobile adoptions and other volunteer opportunities. |
