Shelter Services

Please note: We do not accept checks as a form of payment for our services.

Lost and Found

At the Humane Society each animal that is brought in is vaccinated unless the animal has identification such as tags or a microchip. If your pet is missing, you will need to come to the shelter and fill out a lost report and do a walkthrough. We cannot identify your pet over the phone. It is YOUR responsibility to come to the shelter frequently to see if your pet is here. Please call 970.506.9550 for any additional questions you may have.

If you have found an animal please call 970.506.9550 to file a found report. If you plan to keep the animal with you, we ask that you to come in and have the animal scanned for a microchip. If you would like to surrender the animal, you may call your local Animal Control or bring the animal to our facility during normal business hours. You will need to have a picture ID to turn in an animal.

Please note: We do not take stray animals form the following jurisdictions: Ault, Eaton, Firestone, Fort Lupton, Johnstown, LaSalle, Nunn, and Platteville. If you live in one of these jurisdictions, please contact your local law enforcement agency or Weld County Animal Control.

The Humane Society of Weld County offers microchipping for your newly adopted or existing pet. The $25 fee includes the microchip, the implantation, and registration into a national database. Come in during business hours. No appointment necessary.
