Frequently Asked Questions

Why 50% off adoption fees?

At HSWC, we see every animal as an individual. Free adoption events are great for numbers, but it might not be great for every individual. As an open admission shelter with a 97% live release rate, we work with every animal to place them into loving homes. We want to continue with that philosophy, even though we are nearing capacity.

I can't adopt - How can I help?

We need fosters, volunteers, and donations! We never euthanize for space so we've been relying on foster homes to handle the increase in animals this year. Come out and meet us! We are doing orientations both days during Community Weekend.

Do I need to RSVP?

For the most part, nope! The only RSVP that's needed is on Saturday for the behavior classes.

Items Accepted for Donation
